    I was wondering that too. Try real metal, not Death Metal. Dethklok is the only good DM band anyways, everyone else is just a bunch of banging with screams.

    I tell you I hear this All the time, and for the last time, it is Wrong. Slipknot is Heavy metal and Metal. You want to hear DEATH METAL, try Lamb of God.

    How about some Progressive metal?

    This one is Ayreon. A project created by Arjen lucassen.


    A lot of Ayreons songs have well known singers such as this one. Bruce Dickinson, the singer from iron maiden sings in this one.


    Dream Theater is also at the top of my list at favorite progressive metal bands.


    But there is heavier stuff then even dream theater. There is stuff known as "Progressive Death Metal". Persefone plays this kind of music. The way they have their lyrics is a bit generic and metal core sounding but the music it self is pretty good. I don't mind their lyrics though.


    I thought I would include Blind guardian even though they are not progressive.


    And finally something else that isn't progressive metal.
