Gmod crashing when joining server

Gmod crashes when I try to join the battle server :(

It gets stuck downloading some mass effect 3 player models and then gives me the rainbow pinwheel for a while before crashing. Help?

My battle cruiser is on that server :(

    Yeah. It says "Downloading blehbleh/masseffect3/bleh/player.mdl". And then it gets stuck. It's been doing this for a while, just hasn't made me crash.

    BTW, the "bleh" represents things I don't know. It does not actually say bleh.

    Figured, but those should not be on the server to begin with. Devs, we've been over this before, stay away from the copyrighted material.

    As per your issues, it may stem from this download, but I cannot be sure.
