Earlier this week, as you may have heard, IBM's Watson computer competed in Jeopardy! against big-shots Ken Jennings and Brad Rutter in the IBM Challenge. Most media is abuzz with this event, I have StumbleUpon'd the thing no less than 7 times in the past week, so might as well bring that in here.

In this 3-Day challenge, two humans and one supercomputer face off in classic Jeopardy! to win $1,000,000 for first, $300,000 for second, and $200,000 for third.

Watch the 2-Part final day here:
Part 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l2_fM6e9AiA
Part 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DHGu0-p-3QQ

For those of you who do not want to watch the video, the final results were a combined score of the second two days;
-Third Place: Brad Rutter ($21,600)
-Second Place: Ken Jennings ($24,000)
-First Place: Watson ($77,147)

What are your thoughts and comments about all this?

    This is a very impressive technology. I didn't watch it on TV, but I've already seen it all on youtube.
