Change Log for April 6th - April 12th

The below changes will take effect when LtBrandon updates the Workshop addon (or when Garry decides to make Contributor permissions work correctly, guess which I'm betting will be first?). Until then, bug him to do so. :)
  • [FEATURE][FIX] - Removed the "splosion" bit from the new materials, was cumbersome and extraneous.
  • [FEATURE][FIX] - Made Fire_001 (was Splosionfire_001) properly additive.
  • [FEATURE] - Added the following new materials to Space Combat:
    • effects/shipsplosion/smoke_001add
    • effects/shipsplosion/smoke_002
    • effects/shipsplosion/smoke_002add
    • effects/shipsplosion/smoke_003
    • effects/shipsplosion/smoke_003add
    • effects/shipsplosion/smoke_004

    • effects/shipsplosion/water_001
    • effects/shipsplosion/water_001add

    • [FIX] - Temporarily changed the sound effect on fighter pulse lasers to remove the sound crash issue. Still haven't figured out the cause yet, but at least these won't crash everyone on the server and make it unjoinable.
    • [FIX] - SC Bullet-type weapons now pass HitNormal to effects.
    • [UPDATE][FIX] - Revamped the PlasmaSplash effect and fixed the error spam caused by a change in how Emitter:Finish() works. Now looks a bit better and should perform quite a lot better than the old version as well. Will probably have missing textures until the workshop addon is updated (see previous post).

    More effect updates to come as I get the time to do so.

    • [FEATURE][UPDATE] - Added a new effect, Smallbeam_Impact. Used on fighter lasers for now.
    • [FEATURE][UPDATE] - Added a new effect, Medmissile_Impact. Currently used on Cruiser Heavy Missiles, but I may add that to others later.
    • [TWEAK] - Changed up the color noise on PlasmaSplash a bit, should now be properly green with only hints of other colors.
    • [FIX] - Changed the model on the HeavyMissile effect to one that actually has a sane origin. Also it looks nicer, so there's that.

    • [FEATURE] - Added the Tiberium Dispenser model to the Wire Screens list.
    • [FEATURE][FIX] - Found and uploaded a working version of the SB_LostInSpace map.
    • [FEATURE] - Added the above to the Workshop and added it to the downloads list. Everyone should now get this map upon joining.
    • [FIX] - Fixed a memory leak in the aforementioned particles. Was cleaning them up incorrectly.
    • [FEATURE][FIX] - Changed the model for the Spartan Torpedoes to one that has a not-stupid orientation.
    • [FEATURE] - Added bigtorp_impact effect for Spartan Torpedoes. Just below nuclear levels of boom. :D
